The Saint Andrew window is donated to the Glory of God in loving memory of the Hall family. Andrews is a family name of which Judith (Hall) Gabriel’s family descends. The window was installed in 1986 by the Connick Window Company.
Saint Andrew was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus and was present at the Last Supper. He is known as the first disciple of Jesus and was brother to Simon Peter. Story has it that Jesus was walking along the shore of Galilee and called to these two men who were fishing in their boat, “Come after me and I will make you fishers of men”. Andrew’s missionary travels took him around the Mediterranean where he established an early orthodox church in Byzantium. Saint Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland, Ukraine and Russia among others and is also the patron saint of fishermen, singers, maidens and spinsters.
